Condition
This is a spectacular looking vintage Omega which features a beautiful silver sunburst dial which displays a date complication. This piece is keeping great time within specification and is complete with its original box and paperwork. The watch's papers date it to the 24th October 1980. Having a full set with papers and original box even to the extent where the name of the recipient shows on a typed label on the box makes this a perfect example for a collector.
Dial - The dial is in near pristine condition showing no visible marks. It displays a fully functional date complication. It also features gilt applied hour batons with a black insert along with a gilt centre seconds hand and a silvered calendar disk which features black Arabic numerals.
Case - The case is in excellent condition for its age showing very minimal signs of wear.
Crystal - The Crystal on this watch is in great condition and shows little to no marks.
Crown - This model features an Omega stamped crown which is pulled out to its first setting to change the date and the second setting to change the time.
Case back - The case back on this watch is in excellent condition showing small scratches. It is also engraved which gives this watch a unique story to tell! In this instance it was given to an employee of the Courtaulds Group as a long service award in 1980.
Movement - The movement is in mint condition and is working perfectly. It is clear that this watch has had very little use over its years of life. This model has the excellent and reliable Cal 1030 manual wind movement ensuring accurate time keeping and robust performance.
Strap - The strap isn’t original to the watch but suits it very well and is of high quality. It also features its original Omega stainless steel buckle.
